April 2009  -  Honey is a 1999 Belgian draft PMU Mare.   She has been with me since 2007.  Shes in general good
health with no issues.  I began balancing her diet at the beginning of April.  These are photos from before any
changes were made.  At the time these photos were taken Honey was getting Orchard grass, a few cups of grass
pellets, Dynamite Reg. Vitamin, probiotic, BOSS, a calcium/phosphorous supp. and a trace mineral supp.

Honey has been on a balanced diet for approx. 45 days.  Her coat color has become very rich.  She is getting
dapples all over her body, even under her belly.  Her white mane and tail even seem whiter to me.  Honey
only gets the standard grooming, curried, brushed, hooves picked.  She doesn't get baths, she hates those.
So the color on her tail and mane have not been enhanced.  The quality of her coat is amazing as well, its so
smooth and tight to her body.
Her diet at this moment consists of the following:

orchard grass approx. 25lbs
Grass pellets 2 cups
Ground Flax 6oz
Dynamite 1 oz
Vitamin E – 3044IU
Copper 4grams of 12.7%
Zinc 7.3grams of 22%
Manganese 320mg
Calcium 6.65grams

Here are some updated photos of Honey.  She has been on a mineral balanced diet for about 3.5 months now.

Update on Honey.  One of the biggest changes I have seen in Honey to date, is her hoof quality.  She has
struggled with some fairly bad fungal problems in her hooves over the past year.  Despite meticulous
cleaning, soaking/treating and timely trimming, her hooves just weren't in as good a shape as they should
have been.  When she shed her frogs, what re grew in their place, were amazingly healthy thick frogs.
The bottoms of her hooves have never looked like this before.  I am amazed.
