Now that Sera, Connies roommate,  has moved onto her new forever home, there is more time to work with
Connie.  Connie been just hanging out and relaxing for all most a year, so a little work will do her some good.
She still has a lot of life left in her.

Connie has a new temporary roommate, her name is Gualala.  They are very very good friends now.  Its pretty
cute, they spend hours mirroring each others movements, walking the paddock, and eating.  I snapped a
picture earlier today when they were resting.

Connie has found a retirement home.  I am so excited for her.  She will be leaving the first week or two in
December.  Her new situation couldn't be more perfect.  Her job is to be a companion to a chestnut TB
mare, just a little younger than her.  And on the weekends, to allow 2 great pony club girls, ages 8 & 10 to
groom her and love her.  Connie met the girls last week.  I told Connie this was one of the best homes I
had ever seen offered.  I told her to be a good girl and be genuine.  If she liked the girls
let them know.  She did, she was wonderful.  Well, shes always a good girl, but she can be aloof when she
wants to, and this visit she definitely understood that being aloof probably wasn't the best way to
present herself.  I am so happy for Connie, this really is the home she deserves.

Connie has been at her new home for just about a month now.  She is thriving.  I visited her last week and
she seemed great.  Plump and happy.  She seems to enjoy her new paddock mate Chloe and her new
people.  Cyndy her adopter, reported that Connie is particularly taken with her 8 & 10 year old girls.  She
soaks up the attention and it really shows in her demeanor.  All who know Connie, know her to be a sweet
horse with a kind eye, but now she appears more like a younger horse with lots of energy.  Here are some
photos of the day we delivered her to her new home and of our visit last week.
