So my plan had been to get photos of Lottas hooves today, but had to change those plans.  She had
quite a nasty accident the day before.   She spooked hard and went over backwards.  I was terrified
that she had broken something, but she didn't.  However, she did really hurt the muscles in her hind
end.   I fully believe that her increased joint mobility and better muscle tone, that I saw in her after
several months on a mineral balanced diet, have greatly affected her ability to recover from such a
big accident.

Today, after a day of TLC we went out to the arena where she decided she could roll.  I was amazed
she could do this today and very grateful she could do this.  While she is pretty sore in the video,
you can see her color and overall condition and her ability to get down, roll and get up.

The condition of her hooves, are better than they have ever been.  She is not remotely sore.  Her
frogs are getting thicker by the day, and Lotta has always had terrible frogs, no matter what we did,
they just were never very good, always skinny and thin.  She has no thrush either.
The photos below are from Lotta's last (never going to happen again) laminitic event.  There were taken
April 2006, approx. four months after she had an acute bout of laminitis.   She had some thrush, thin almost
non existent frogs and her soles were as flat as pancakes. (toes were way to long!)  Wish I had taken sole
views back then, oh well.   Her diet at the time, was a combination of grass hay, oat hay and sometimes rye
(probably in the 15 to 20% sugar category).  And the minerals were in no way balanced.  I just didn't know
any better back then, I fed her the way I had been feeding all of my horses since I was 11 years old.  I am
grateful to Lotta for helping me learn much of what I know today.

Below are current photos of Lottas hooves.  They are in the best shape they have ever been in.
She is sounder than she has ever been.

Below are some updated photos of Lotta.  Her hooves are good, very
sound.  Her coat, mane and tail are soft and healthy.  She is still
recovering from her injury, but things are progressing nicely.
