Check out Sera's new body.  Shes gained some decent weight.  She had her first Chiro appointment a
couple of weeks ago and she is due for her second appt. in 2 more weeks.  I am really hoping the chiro
gives her the all clear to start saddle work.  We have been doing allot of hand walking and stretching
exercises.  Trying to get her back and hips in good shape.
Her hooves are looking really nice too.  Shes been barefoot since she came here in February.  Her hooves
are getting tougher and tougher.  Shes not having any problems walking out on the packed gravel or rocky
surfaces.

Sera got the all clear from the chiro today to begin saddle work.  She has no more pain in her back and her
hips are looking quite even.  I am very pleased with her progress.  Tomorrow morning we start working in
the round pen again.  Shes gained some weight during her time off, so we have a bit of work to do to get
her fit again.

I have been really bad about updating Seras thread.  For the last 2 months we have been working in the
round pen at liberty and on ground driving.  Seras been very accommodating, she tries what ever I ask of
her.  She has gotten pretty chunky over the last 3 months.  Shes really enjoying her food.
Today she was ridden for the first time.  She did great.  Her next ride is Saturday morning, I will make sure
and bring the camera out this time, so I can post some new under saddle pic's.

I wish I had a camera with me at all times, I miss some of the best pictures.  Today we completed our new
turn out paddock, its long, about 200 feet.  Well, I thought Sera should be the first horse to try it out.
She loves to run, its a wonder she didn't do better in the racing world.  She can really move.  So anyway, I
turned her out this afternoon, there is allot of grass still in the paddock so I planned on only letting her stay
in it for about an hour.  Don't want her to OD on grass.  For the first 15 minutes all she did was eat.  Once
she had her fill she started to explore her surroundings.  The terrain in the pen is somewhat hilly with big
clumps of grass.  Well, Sera started running, she circled the pen, ran around the fence line, and then tore
thru the middle.  She decided to jump the clumps of grass, and mind you she wasn't cantering around
jumping these clumps, she was full tilt running and flying thru the air over the clumps.  She did this until
she was completely drenched in sweat,  She loves to run, and apparently loves jumping too, and I didn't
have my camera with me, oh well, maybe next time.

So I guess Sera isn't to worried about tight spaces.  Yesterday I took Sera out for her usual ground work
session and at the end we always head over to the tack room to drop equipment and pick up a cookie from
the cookie tub.  There are 2 big steps leading up to the door of the tack room and the tack is about 8 ft wide
by 15 ft long.  Well, I led Sera up to the door, I went up the steps, thru the door bent down to grab a cookie
front the cookie tub, and when Stood up and turned around, I was shocked to see Sera inside the tack
room with me.  She had walked up the steps.  She had her two front hooves inside the tack room and her
two back hooves on the top step, just outside.  So much for claustrophobic race horses.  I guess trailering
won't be to much of an issue either.  She stepped sensibly  down the stairs backwards.  Good Girl.
