I took Sera out today so we could work on some new things.  She spent a little time tooling around the
arena just enjoying herself.  After her relaxing arena time I thought it would be good to start working on
relaxing around the horse trailer.  Sera will willingly jump into a trailer but she doesn't know how to relax
while doing it.  I would really like to see her step in and stand quietly with out breaking a sweat, so spent
a long time just standing at the entrance to the trailer.  She got lots of scratches, a little grass to nibble
and lots of reiki.  By the end her sweat began to dry so that seemed like a good place to stop for the day.
Heres a new pic of her checking out the arena.

Sera had her first ride in the arena with multiple horses.  She started out good, but having horses
pass her by proved to exciting for right now.  She had a hard time containing herself.  More slow work
and then we'll try the arena again.  Shannon did a great job of keeping her calm and working.  Here's a
couple pics from her ride today.

Poor Sera had a crappy day today.  I was gone all day and when I got home tonight, Shannon my weekend
helper, said Sera had a pretty nasty cut on her face.  I checked it out and it was bad about 2" deep, just a
few inches above her nose.  She also had a nasty puncture wound on her neck.  The cut on her face
took 5 stitches inside and 5 or 6 outside the wound, not pretty, but fixable.  Her neck wound was far
more scary, it was very deep, so deep the vet opted to not try and suture it.  He thinks that she came
very close to puncturing her jugular, ugh.  She's in a stall now resting and basically feeling crappy.  Her
new best friend also left the ranch today for a new home.  Sera has not had a very good weekend.

Sera is doing well.  Her wounds are healing very quickly and cleanly.  She doesn't seem to be in much
pain any more, mostly the wounds are just itchy now.  She wants so badly to rub them, but then of course
that hurts allot, so she stops.  Right now she is hanging out in a paddock all by herself.  Hopefully in a
few more days I will be able to let her hang out with Assurance again.  I just don't want them to ruff
house to soon.

Sera had her stitches out a few days ago.  The cut on her face has healed beautifully, I don't think she
will even have a noticeable scar.  The cut on her neck is healing well too, no proud flesh at all.

Sera has been officially adopted, by Amanda.  Sera left for her new home this afternoon.  Below are
some pictures from Seras last day here at the ranch.  Clockwise from top left - Sera having a snack
before leaving for her adventure, Sera & Assurance saying goodbye, us headed out to the trailer,
