| These 3 horses are rescues from Columbia Basin Equine Rescue. All to often race horses go straight from the track to slaughter or to the feedlot to await their deaths. These 3 were very lucky. They didn't have to experience the horror of life on the feed lot. Gratefully their owner gave CBER an opportunity to try and place them. If CBER could place these horses in a timely manner they would be able to save other TB's from the experience of the feedlot. Thats where I come in. CBER listed these horses on their website a couple of weeks ago. I was considering adopting the oldest one, Le Consulate. My husband suggested I adopt several. I try to rely on him to save me from myself, but its not working out so well. Instead of helping me be sane about these things he encourages me to save a few more. He's a wonderful person. The horses arrived at the ranch about 9am Valentines day. I will be giving them several days to rest before I begin doing anything with them.
